Issue with Android app racing away / killing battery

I've noticed this since the last update. I have a MotoDroid - stock 2.1. I can reproduce this easily - if I go into any folder - even a small one with a few songs in it - and select all and play, everything seems fine. 5-10 minutes later my Droid heats up like crazy and it's like it's downloading constantly and won't stop. At this point my battery gets crushed and I can almost see the green disappear. I've tried over and over to hit the back button until the app exits but that doesn't help. I end up having to turn my phone off and on again - I've looked for running processes or services to kill using the stock ROM but that hasn't helped. I don't have a task killer but I may have to try that next.

Any thoughts? I love the app and love the UI refresh.

Well, the update yesterday seems to have fixed this. I changed the cache settings to only precache a max of 3 songs and listened to several songs on the way home. When I stopped, the phone was not hot and after exiting the app the battery stabilized and didn't continue to run down.

Don't know if an issue was fixed or not, but I'm really happy...
