Android app doesn't work

I am using a Sony Erricson X10i and sumply cannot access my server at home through 3G. I have port forwarded and can access my home computer via VNC. Even after the recent update it fails to access my music and even fails to download when I use my phone at home using my local network? My request for assistance has fallen on deaf ears? Can anyone help

A little more detail is needed if were going to sort this out.
1. Does the web interface work on the local machine?
ie.
http://localhost:[port] e.g.
http://localhost:4040
2. Does the web interface externally?
http://yourdomain.com:[port]
e.g.
http://yourdomain.com:4040
3. What are your server settings in the android app (don't post the password keep that secret)?
4. Does "Test connection" work in the android app under server settings?
