Subsonic won't scan Network Share

Postby jbruno » Wed Jun 23, 2010 5:59 pm

Hello All,

I have a NAS that houses all my music and videos for iTunes and I would love to be able to share it with my iPhone when not at home. However, it appears that Subsonic doesn't have permission to search through my AFP share.

I'm running Snow Leopard Server, and I have read and write privileges to the drive with my user account in OS X(the same account running subsonic).

Does anyone know how to side step this problem. I have tried changes the privileges to the network share and it doesn't help. I'm up for any suggestions, as long as they aren't ridiculous (IE keep all you music local, get a windows machine... etc).

Cheers,
Jay

Have you tried mounting the share in OS X instead of using the unc path? If that works then the only problem will be making the mount a persistent connection.
