Odd issue with M4A in flash player skipping every other song when trying to play a whole album. Player plays and log shows first song, when it's done, player briefly shows second song and then immediately jumps to third song. Log shows no errors but a one second delay between second and third song.
Doesn't happen with same album on android player
Running 4.0.1 on Ubuntu

Flash on Ubuntu is sometimes a little iffy in my experience. Stickam didn't work on Ubuntu for as long as I can remember until recently.
Is flash up-to-date on this computer?
Cheers,
Kirk

Kirk,
Thanks for the reply. Guess I should have been more clear. Subsonic server is running on Ubuntu. Running the flash player on a win7 box - problem shows up in both Chrome & IE.

I'm sorry I misunderstood. Usually I am at work when I reply to the forum threads, I must have been tired when I read this. It makes more sense to me now.
Is there any reason why you aren't transcoding the m4a to mp3? I'm fairly sure that's how my Subsonic server is set up. I think that would eliminate the issue but isn't really a good answer to your question...
Cheers,
Kirk

Ha! Success! Thanks for the clue, Kirk.
Ok, here's a little background if anybody is interested.
When I first installed subsonic (v 3.x?) there was an issue with the m4a to mp3 transcoder configuration in the default install - no m4a's would play. I found a workaround in the forums that worked except that it only worked for admin, but no other user.
Upgraded to 4.0.1 and that did not resolve the non-admin user issue. Tried a bunch of different things (deleting players, re-creating users, etc.) to no avail until decided to delete the "new" m4a->mp3 transcoder.
This is the state I was in where the player skips every other song.
Turning back on on the default m4a->mp3 player works as expected now.
Thanks again!
