Subsonic Service Won't Start (Error 1067)

I cannot get subsonic to start up. If I manually go to services and attempt to start it I get "Windows could not start the Subsonic service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." When I search google for this error I get results suggesting that it's a problem with MySQL.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to try? I am running Win 7 64 bit and I am a donator.

Thanks! :)

I am running 64-bit Windows 7 and I have not had this issue. Have you tried simply uninstalling, deleting the program folder, and reinstalling Subsonic?

Subsonic doesn't use MySQL... Lol.

Cheers,
Kirk

Yes I have. I've tried manually removing all traces of Subsonic without avail. Do you know of any specific functions of windows 7 that subsonic uses which other programs typically do not? Thanks.

I still haven't been able to solve this. Anyone have any other ideas?

I realize this is really old now, but I ran in to this problem whenever I tried to bump the memory limit above 1462MB in the Subsonic Control Panel settings. For some reason it maxes out at 1462 on my computer. Might be different for others, but I hope this helps someone out if they run in to the same thing.

Thanks for this message, probably worth reviving this thread to say that I've been running my Subsonic at 1500 MB for, well, years but it seems the latest Win10 update broke it. Reducing memory to 1400 MB works as usual.

THANK YOU for reviving this old thread. I really didn't want to reinstall - dropping memory to 1400 worked right away. How strange.
