Running 4.0.1 on Windows XP, I get the following error when I start up my computer (I've set the EXE4J_JAVA_HOME variable, but it didn't help):

---------------------------

No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME
to point to an installed 32-bit JDK or JRE or download a JRE from www.java.com.

It doesn't look like you have Java installed on your computer. Go to www.java.com and click the big "Get Java" button. Then go through the installation process and try to start Subsonic again.

I have Java installed, so that's not the problem. I thought Subsonic might have issues with the spaces in the path name (C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin), so I pointed the EXE4J_JAVA_HOME variable to C:\PROGRA~1\Java\jre6\bin instead, but it didn't help.

Any other thoughts? Perhaps reinstall Java to a simpler directory like C:\java?

I've never had an issue... I just use the standard install paths and normal installs for JRE and Subsonic. lol.

I'm not sure I'll be able to be of any more assistance... :/

Cheers,
