android times out for folders on NAS
I have my music on a ReadyNAS (http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=193). I set up subsonic on a windows xp machine and added my music folders from the NAS. When I connect from a web browser, opening folders is a little slow, but it's usable. When I try to connect with my android phone, however, it times out nearly every time I open a folder. The time it takes for the phone to timeout is a lot longer than it takes a web browser to open the folder, which seems odd. It behaves the same with both wifi and 3g.
I tested out moving some of the music to the windows xp machine, and my android phone can open those folders with no problems. So the problem seems to be having my folders on the NAS. I saw that other people had issues using samba between windows and linux. I'm assuming I have the same issue here. I don't suppose anyone has found a way to resolve this?
