Can someone explain to me;

I purchased the iSub app in the app store (couple of euro's).
Then i download the server appl. for free of use (as far as i know when reading the iSub appl. description in the app store when the initial purchase took place (v.1.x?))?

Now i get the API trial etc. message and i have to donate to get a key!?
That's not a donation, it's a payment for use.

Please explain.

From what I understand, the iSub app is a third party subsonic app. The license key is for Subsonic itself that allows you to have that functionality of using an app on your phone, be it with an apple device (itouch, iphone) or an android device.

I thought reading from the other threads that the developer of iSub was putting a disclaimer on the app page that lets you know that this is a stand alone app and the money is going to the developer of that app and not for subsonic itself.

That is correct. The disclaimer clearly states that you'll need to donate to the Subsonic project to continue using the streaming API.

The fact is, people are unwilling to read information. They just install programs without looking into them. I don't see it as a scam or anything to get upset about, it's just that some people don't research things before they jump into them.

Subsonic and iSub are two completely separate and complex products. The developers of both deserve some form of compensation for their hard work.
