Hello.

Still i can not do it.

To acces fron winamp in another computer to my subsonic I have to put:

http://my ip :8080/subsonic/stream , is this allwrite?

I, making a web site and I would like that with a click anyone can acces to the playlist.

I did it like this:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Subsonic
http://my ip:8080/subsonic/stream?playlist=a.m3u&suffix=mp3

Like i read in this forum, and it is working, but only when i acces from my computer.

I dont know what i am doing wrong and is taking a lot of hours to find out, and still dont work.

I am sorry about my english.

Thanks.

At last is working.

From my website you can acces to the subsonic streamlist
(a.m3u,b.m3u,etc), it is working perfect.

Thanks to this advice:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Subsonic
http://my ip:8080/subsonic/stream?playlist=b.m3u&suffix=mp3

Thanks again for this really good program.

Saludos.

streaming to a remote player?

Postby d2master » Tue Feb 13, 2007 11:34 am

I'm trying to share my currently playing list with a friend,
i don't want to give him access to the web interface, all i want is for him to be able to listen to the stream i'm also listening to.

the problem is when he try to open the url (with winamp/wmp):
http://[myip]:8080/subsonic/stream
or
http://[myip]:8080/subsonic/stream?player=[my_player_name]

what happens is that instead of getting the same stream i'm listening to (from my "Player") , a new "Player" is created which is associated with my friends IP, and ofcourse it is an empty etc.

what can i do ?

It's not possible to share a player and its associated playlist that way. There is a work-around, however. First, save your playlist as "foo.m3u" (for instance). Then, give your friend the following URL:

http://[myip]:8080/subsonic/stream?playlist=foo.m3u&suffix=.mp3

Hope this helps,
