Music searchable but not showing up in artist list

So I just recently switched my Subsonic server from one computer to another, I set up the new server the same as the old, and it's pulling... MOST of my music. The artist count at the top shows 1814 artists, but only ~1042 are showing up in the actual artist list. I know this because iSub for the iPhone only pulls the artists listed. So if I search for a specific artist on the list on the main page, eg. Santogold, it doesn't show on the list. But if I search for Santogold, it will find the artist and the album, and play them no problem. I can't even begin to imagine why this might be, or why it's doing this now when using the same music folder it was before.

Any suggestions?

I've refreshed the search list in Subsonic, I've shut the server down and started it up again, I've deleted the folder and re-entered it. It finds all the music, it just doesn't list them all in the artist list, so they're not showing up in iSub for the iPhone. But I can search them up on the web interface with no problem.

I don't remember all of the specifics off the top of my head, but one of those artist totals is acquired by reading MP3 tags, the other artist total is a count of the folders in the Subsonic root music directory.

To my knowledge, iSub pulls its "Artist List" from the top level directory of your Subsonic music folder. You will likely need to create folders and rearrange some of your music collection to get it to display correctly.

If you're switching from one computer to another and you copied your music precisely, I'm not sure why this only now came to your attention. The move to another computer should have had nothing to do with the surfacing of this issue.
