alright I have tried alot of streaming apps and so far i have to say i like the way subsonic is set up, however i am unable to use it because of network errors. i am currently using a airport express with a time capsule as well. I currently have the NAT port mapping on, can access internet from any computer but i cant get subsonic to work b/c it keeps saying it cannot find the router. I am not the smartest when it comes to networking but if anyone could give me a hand that would be really nice

Just because subsonic can't see your router doesn't mean it isn't working.

You should be able access subsonic locally (i.e. on the machine subsonic is running on) by going to http://localhost:[portnumber]. .e.g. http://localhost:4040

Machines on the same network will be able to access it too via your local network IP address. e.g. http://192.168.1.100:4040/

This is assuming that a firewall on the machine running subsonic isn't blocking access.

If subsonic cannot setup port forwarding automatically using uPnP then you should setup port forwarding manually. Look at your router's instruction manual to find out how to do this.

well i can find the server locally but not through the internet. i know firewall isnt a problem, it seems to just be the airport express that is somehow not workin right with the subsonic server. can you offer any more advice? i dont think it is port mapping either b/c i have it set up to automatically forward.

My advice would be to disable automatic port forwarding and set it up manually on your router and see if that works.
