Can Subsonic remember last place in song/podcast?

Looked around and can't seem to find anything.

I just started using Subsonic on my android phone and I have a few podcasts I listen to on a regular basis.

The issue I'm having is that the podcasts are typically 1.5-2 hours in length and when I stop listening halfway through and then come back to it at a later time, the podcast is cleared from the player and the place I stopped is lost.

I can somewhat navigate back to the original file, although the specific podcast is mixed in with every other one that lives in the folder I keep them in, but then I'm also stuck having to try to guess where in the podcast I stopped. I would be nice if I were able to pick up where I left off.

I'm not really finding anything in the settings to address this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

YES!

I just started using Subsonic and this is a huge feature I would love to seefor the exact same reason. I listen to a LOT of Podcasts and would love some sort of bookmark feature! Imagine listening to an audio book......yeah, no bueno.

Does this feature exist??? :?

I'm unaware of any bookmarking feature in Subsonic, but you can always download the podcast to whatever machine/phone your using, and use the playback software to approximate a bookmark. Android's native player, as well as others, will resume from a random stopping point, as I'm sure many Windows/Mac players on those machines.

It would be even more awesome if the server would integrate with Listen. I love the idea of serving them to myself so I only need one app, but I love the fact that listen will keep all of my podcasts in Google Reader, so I don't have to configure any of my podcasts on my Subsonic server. But I also like the idea that if my server/network is down that I could get them from the web directly.

True true. Though I'm hope to manage my music/Podcasts through Subsonic. It removes the need for extra storage needed on my phone. Though for anyone else looking for a great Podcast download/manager there is DoggCatcher, but like I said, I'm hoping to not have to download directly to my phone, but simply stream it.

Yeah, Listen is a great service as well. It's not quite perfect, but can do the job pretty good.

Are there plans to add this as a feature, or is this a setting I'm missing somewhere? I'd like to move from a mobile app to Subsonic for my podcatching, but not being able to save my location is a real disadvantage.
