Windows Media Lossless playback problem

Postby iatepaste » Fri Sep 10, 2010 12:09 am

Hi all!

First off, Subsonic is great and exactly what I've been looking for.

A portion of my library is ripped to WMA lossless using dbPowerAmp. When I try to play these files back, nothing happens. I searched for the issue and found some things suggesting it might unsupported by ffmpeg but other posts on this forum lead me to believe otherwise. I built a new copy of ffmpeg but the issues continued.

Here's the part of the log that looks pertinent:

[9/9/10 1:59:32 PM EDT] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\ffmpeg) Input #0, asf, from 'c:\music lossless\Sam Cooke\Portrait of a Legend 1951-1964\Sam Cooke - 09 - I'll Come Running Back to You.wma':

Not sure what else to do here but any help would be appreciated!

You need to use wmadec to transcode lossless wma files.

Code: Select all
wmadec -b 16 %s -

There is a new version of lame in the transcode pack.
for lame 3.98.4 use the "-r" option for pcm input.
Code: Select all
lame -b %b -r - -

for the older version I think the lame command needs to be:
Code: Select all
lame -b %b -x - -
