Files "Missing"

I just did some sorting of my library and found that Directories that I have inside the Music Directory that is specified are not appearing.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Path: F:\Mp3\Metallica\...And Justice For All\

I have confirmed that the files exist. I forced a manual search index update. Is there an option that I can use to unrestrict this?

It is my understanding that Subsonic excludes folders that start with a period. Try removing the ... from the beginning of the folder name and then rescan your your folders.

On Linux, folders with a . in front of the name are the equivalent of "hidden" folders on Windows. I believe that for this reason, those folders are excluded from view on Subsonic. (Since Subsonic is cross-platform, and it makes no sense to have it determine whether or not it's on Linux before deciding whether to show a folder).

I agree with the above response. Remove the periods from the beginning of the folder name, and you should be good to go.

Cheers,
Kirk

I am familiar with *nix functionality, as that's what I work on for a job.

What I would like, however, is the ability to disable this, since I am not running it on a linux host. Of course renaming the directory/directories would resolve the issue. I was just hoping there was an option I could adjust (or at least bring to the attention) that this was an issue I encountered.

Thanks.
