I've had this happen before too... but I haven't experienced the issue on 4.1. It always happened on 4.0.1 though, usually once or twice a week. I figured it was something qwirky on the server. Restarting Subsonic didn't always fix it for me but it did sometimes.

I am having this problem to. I solved it without restarting subsonic by deleting under "Settings" -> "Players" -> "Delete Player" one by one.
Some how there is a bug in the player was used by another user and after you login you used the same player and get his username when playing the songs under "Now Playing" at the right side.
After deleting the players the right user name will show up after a while again.
Probably the development team needs to look at this.
