Ok so i know this has been posted a lot but i donated and am so lost. I am trying to connect to the server now for sometime and all i get is the error message "Status: xxxxxxxx.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)"

Here are the steps that i have done:
1) set up static IP
2) Manually forward to multiple ports using portforward.com as a reference for what to do as well as use the default settings.
3)Disable Firewall and tried with firewall enabled

Nothing still works. I have tried using the tool they have on portforward.com to see if the port is open and it says "your port was not open or reachable" but i did all the steps said on the site to open a port. I am trying to connect to my router using a wireless connection. I also am using Windows 7 and have set the user security to allow changes. Any help and explanations as to people who have recieved this error message and fixed the problems would be awesome.

try going to www.whatismyip.com and try using that IP for the address instead of your subsonic.org address.

Also, since you manually forwarded your ports make sure that the "automatically configure your router..." checkbox is unchecked on the network page on the settings tab in your subsonic webpage.

What do you mean use that IP instead of the subsonic one? And i have tried using both the auto configure box checked and in checked.

the IP that I'm referring to is the one that comes up at the top of the www.whatismyip.com webpage. If your server is supposed to be reachable @ xxxxxx.subsonic.org and you have the port set to 4040 for example, then try to reach your server on http://XXX.XXX.XXx.XXX:4040 with the xxx's are the IP from whatismyip.com.

Using Firefox I tried that and it says the connection timed out.

Have you verified 4040 is open? http://www.canyouseeme.org/
