Only some files load in library on iSub (iPhone4)permissions
Hi,
I recently got an iPhone 4.
I have been trying various remote media server options.
www.mymusicathome.com
and Subsonic.org
When I browse in the local web browser it looks like all media has loaded based on the file counts, 160,000+ audio files, but when I try to access some "artist" folders no files appear on my iPhone.
I suspect looking at the server running on Windows7 there maybe permissions issues which I will try to resolve ober the weekend and update here with any progress.
All the media is on a USB attached extrnal drive so I cannot load into the
local "shared music" folder in Windows.
I am wondering if anyone had/had similar issues.
I suspect it maybe folders I at some point loaded into Windows Media Player / Windows Media Centre, where permissions on the folder icon have a "lock" symbol.
I am trying to change ownership and permissions and will report back with progress. I may try unix commands using gnu to set owner / rwx permissions too.
If anyone can assist or recommend anything please let me know.
Otherwise I find iSub & Subsonic to be exactly what I want!!!
Jason
