Android client loops first song

I've set up Subsonic to trans-code my mp3s to 128k so they don't suck up much bandwidth when played on my EVO and I've set the phone up to have the the max bitrate of 128k. When I go to play an album, it gets to the end of the first song and then loops it. I can manually skip it and it will play the next one, but I would like to listen to a whole album without issue. Has anybody else had this issue and/or found a solution?

Perhaps you are not selecting the entire album for playback? Selecting the first song in album view, with replay on, will loop that one song.

I'm hitting the play arrow at the top after I select an album. It implies that it should play the whole album but simply does not.

On the Evo, have you verified it is downloading(caching) the followup tunes? Click the playlist button to verify 'orange stars' which indicate a successful download. (my reference to continuous play above was in error, I often play songs/albums I've 'downloaded' with Subsonic in Meridian or 3(cubed) player, which have continuous play..sorry).
edit: hmmm..perhaps related?

I also am having the issue of the first song looping. I can manually go to the next song, but it never automatically goes to the next song, even though the next song has completly downloaded to the phone. From reading other post about this issue, it always seems to be an HTC android phone that is having this issue, I have an Incredible running 2.2

I, too, have this problem when using Vanilla based roms. The last song will repeat the last 20/30 seconds, sometimes it might loop the last minute.
I have an HTC Eris (Hero on Sprint) and when I'm running a Sense based ROM this does not happen. I changed to a Vanilla based 2.2 ROM and then it started happening. This also happened on a Moto Droid running 2.2 unrooted.

I am also having this issue on my HTC Evo. It repeats the first song ever single time before going on to the second song. When I'm on 3G, it might repeat the first 1-3 songs each before moving on to the next.

I too am having this issue with my Evo. I selected unlimited under "Max bitrate" and it still does it.

Same issue. Evo - stock firmware. Initially, only the first song used to loop; now, the at least the first 3 songs loop.

I've got a stock EVO, latest OTA, not rooted. I stream 256k bitrate using stock SS settings over 3g with no issues.
Max bitrate for 3g and WiFi
500MB cache
Songs to preload 3
No skips, no stutters, no loops
What do your ques show during playback?

My settings are almost exactly the same as yours. The only difference is my cache is 10GB. Same version, same phone and the same stock settings.
I don't use playlists. I always use the "Shuffle Play" option on the home screen/tab on the Android client.
The first 3 songs always loop. It's not song1, song2, song3, loop back to song1, but, song1, loop back to song1... at this point, I hit next to go to song2, it plays it and loops to the beginning of song2 again... I hit next to go to song3 - which also loops and from then on, it's fine.

Why do you have your cache set so high? What size SD card do you use?
Have you tried using the 500 setting? It works just fine for me.

I have a 16GB microSD card and don't really use all that space for anything else. My understanding of the purpose of the cache is to store downloaded songs. When I am offline (either on an airplane, or in a remote area without mobile access), I play the cached songs using the cube player.
