Subsonic on GoDaddy
I am using Subsonic 4.1. Here are the steps I have taken so far:
1. I enabled Java Servlets
2. I uploaded the war file to my HTML home and let tomcat restart. The war explodes as it should but it didnt create the var/subsonic folder. So I get:
HTTP Status 404 - /subsonic/index.view
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
type Status report
message /subsonic/index.view
description The requested resource (/subsonic/index.view) is not available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apache Tomcat/5.0.27
3. I created the var/subsonic folder and changed its permissions to 777 (I know this is insecure but wanted to test) and I get the same:
HTTP Status 404 - /subsonic/index.view
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
type Status report
message /subsonic/index.view
description The requested resource (/subsonic/index.view) is not available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apache Tomcat/5.0.27
I am assuming this is because subsonic can not write to the var/subsonic folder as the folder is empty.
Does anyone know how to grant permission to subsonic for this folder?
Or is it something completely different?
I appreciate any help that can be provided.
Thanks,
Jason
