JVM could not be started error after Java update

I get an error message "The JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution" when I try to start Subsonic Tray Icon. However the service seems to be started OK, as I can play media from my server remotely from my Android.
THis started happening after updating Java recently. I do not think it's a firewall issue but I will try to confirm that is not the case.

If you are on Vista or 7 you might have to start the tray icon in administrator mode. If nothing else you will be able to rule out a permissions problem.

I just updated my Subsonic and I'm getting this exact same error. I have no firewall software and I have disabled all windows firewalls and I tried running Subsonic service as Administrator. All coming back with same problem. Subsonic ran flawlessly before update. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

Several problems seem to have cropped up since Java updated - for a week or so I couldn't get to Sourceforge using Chrome because of a Java error (since resolved).
Hopefully this stuff will get resolved in the next version of SS.

I uninstalled Java and Subsonic, just ran the Subsonic which reinstalled Java ans it just worked.
