SubAir says online briefly then goes to offline

subject says it all. i gave my brother a user name so he can stream my music to his PC with SubAir. it will say online for a few seconds with a stop watch icon, and then it goes offline. he's using a Sprint wirless wi-fi USB card... any suggestions on how to fix this?
