Problem using Subsonic with Avira Antivirus Premium

Hello,

I have been using Avira Antivirus Premium for some time now, as well as Subsonic. I recently reimaged my computer (Windows 7 x64), exact same setup as before (just wanted a clean install), and now when I start Subsonic I get a Java Exception error. I KNOW it's Avira doing it, because I can disable one part of the Avira protection, WebGuard, and the service starts successfully with no Java Exception. I have put in an exception under the WebGuard for the service "subsonic-service.exe", but still get the issue. The only way around it (at this point) is to disable the WebGuard (which I obviously don't want to do). Does anyone else use Avira Premium and know how to make this work with Avira or anyone else know what else is going on in the background that I might need to allow an exception for? I have put in a request with Avira too to see if they might be of assistance, but I have a feeling they are going to point me back to the software manufacturer. Any help is greatly appreciated for I miss my subsonic!!!

Crank up the error reporting in the virus app (if it has it) and see what it is blocking. It probably is stopping the service from going to the Internet when it check for version level etc.

Figured it Out

Yeah, I had to log in as an admin. After that, I put an exception in that area and everything has been working since. Thanks!
