Extending Chat HIstory

Hi all:

I have kind of the opposite question from everybody else. I would like to increase the number of posts visible as well as have them remain longer before they are deleted (i.e. >7 days). Does anybody have any ideas on this? I am assuming it will have to do with the chat service and changing the values of a few variables.

I am reviving this old thread to say that I would like to know how to do this as well. I cannot find any chat related settings in the software, but perhaps there is a hack or two to acheive this? Would anyone else be interested in a feature request for chat settings?

I have successfully extended it to 100msgs, anything more than that and the interface lags. you have to modify the chat service jsp file(i think, not at my pc right now to check) and then recompile the .war file using eclipse.

I do not however know how to remove or modify the 3 day timeout option.
