I have multiple people in my family that use my Subsonic server. I want to change "Shortcuts" to read "Ryan's Shortcuts" what file would I edit? I've looked and not been able to find it.
Does anyone know? Thanks!

I don't quite understand your question. Where does it say Shortcuts? Is it link somewhere in Subsonic or is it on your desktop? Please elaborate a little bit and we'll try to help you out.

There is a shortcuts setting if you add content to it in the settings you get a "shortcuts" menu in the left hand menu....I want to change the verbiage of this header....not sure how much more specific I can get? I want to rename the header on the Shortcuts section....that section may not appear if you do not have shortcuts set up.....let me know if you need more info .lol.

I understand what you're asking, but I'm sure the only way to do it it to dig inside the code. If you have a good search toolthat can search for the string inside the files in the Subsobic folder, you might get luck and find it.
I used to do this in the "old days" but haven't done so recently, so I cant recommend a good search tool, but I'll bet a good google search might point you in the right direction.

After rereading your post and playing around with the Shortcuts features, I'm not totally sure why you would want to edit the header.
If you create a folders in the Music directory and name it "Ryan's", then go to the settings Menu\General and type Ryan's into the Shortcuts box, Ryan's will appear right under the Shortcuts header in the left column. When you select it from the menu it will open Ryan's folder and show any music stored in it.
This way you can create folders for several users without tedious editing of the source code.
Also, when you designate a folder as a shortcut, it no longer shows in the alphabetized section.
It's also any easy way to list your favorite Artists at the top.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions.

Hey thanks for the idea but moving things into a folder just for me - but isn't what I'm looking to do.
Something is telling the browser to display the word "Shortcuts" I need to find out where that is.

The only way to do that is to read through all the javascript code.
Good Luck.

If you change this section in the language-file:
ROOT>\subsonic.war\WEB_INF\classes\net\sourceforge\subsonic\i18n\locales\ResourceBundle_se.properties
Will it help(?)
# left.jsp
48 left.statistics = {0} artister<br>\
49 {1} album<br>\
50 {2} melodier<br>\
51 {3} (~ {4} timmar)
52 left.shortcut = Genv\u00e4gar
53 left.radio = Internet TV/radio
54 left.allfolders = Alla mappar
This is the Swedish file but you can find the same for another language, for sure.
