Index isn't right anymore

Hi Sindre,

After installing the new Beta release (4.2) my subsonic-numbers are not correct anymore. The stats tell me that I have 33 artists and 60 albums. However there are more then 2000 albums (All other numbers are also not correct). The index works so I can see, listen and download al songs and albums.

Is this a bug in the new update?

Greetings

It's working again!

Hi everybody,

I've tried to resolve the problems in several way's:
- New installation of the Beta-release;
- Restart subsonic;
- Restart the Microsoft server;
- Investegation of the firewall logbooks;
All of the above didn't solve my problem.

Finally I submitted a new update for the intire index. This solved my problem. Hope to help some-one with the same issues with this post!

Do you know where the index file is stored and name? I was thinking about manually deleting mine to see if it would fix the index problems I have been having with 4.2 beta 1

If you are using windows it is at c:\subsonic\subsonic10.index.

You can delete it and update your search index without anything to worry about. I would stop the subsonic service just to be safe though.

Hi Sindre,

I believe there's an issue with index creation in 4.2beta1. I usually navigate my library from the Newest screen to get my most recently added albums. However, only about 18 of my 548 albums are listed on the screen no matter how many times I delete the .index file and re-create the index. The Random screen seems to work fine and the totals for my library are correct. Any ideas?

Still issues

Hi everybody,

This morning I the index figures where, again, not right. I logged on via my Safari browser on a MAC to a Microsoft server. It's strange because yesterday the problem was away. After starting up within a Mozilla browser (Firefox) the index was normal again.

Very strange....

Yes a problem with index creation on 4.2 Beta. Deleted index, tried reinstalling. No luck. After deleting and creating a new search index the NEWEST,MOST RECENT and MOST FREQUENT no longer get updated and it only shows a partial list of my newest albums.
