does this mean that someone is trying to logon with that username or is it something on the subsonic side?
there is only one person with that username and i am curious if this means he is using the app or not.

GoogleBot or other robot or evil hacker... You post link to your server somewhere in Internet and after this delete user or change password

It's possible that that user forgot the password and attempted several logons, but looking at the regular time intervals suggests that Stozher's Bot explaination is more likely.

well i did delte that username, but i never posted the username on the internet, i did post the server however. so if someone is just playing their cached music through subsonic w/ the wrong password, would that bring up the message in regular intervals? what does this bot do? i don't get the message all the time, just every once in a while.

i was assuming it was just the android subsonic app kept trying to authenticate while the user is playing cached music. if it is a bot, what woudl it be tryign to do and how can i stop it?

If you've deactivated that username, there is little danger. You could uncheck the DNS name service in network setting that allows "servername.subsonic.org" but most likely the bot will stop after the programmed number of attempts. If it gets too distracting, the last resort would be to contact your ISP, but just be sure they don't have restrictions in your account agreement regarding hosting a server before you do that.
