too long tracknames to display in mobiles/cellphones client?

Question 1:
- How long does it take for "domainname.subsonic.org" to register, propagate and utilize a new port # ? Since I am using a VPN, my IP & port tend to change. I can use it immediately via xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyy mask, but via "mydomain.subsonic.org" it takes a long while to be redirected/accepted the 'non-80-port'.

Question 2:
Is there a problem on the Android App with long musictrack-filenames?

I have a folder with ~350 music tracks, stream-ripped from live-broadcasts into CBR 256 kbits MP3s via AIMP2 ( http://www.aimp.ru ) internal stream-ripper. now some of the tracks are very long, like examples:

"Velvet Girl Colin Replay - Show Me The Way (Domenico Cascarino & Luca Lombardi Ambient version). Unknown. 2010.01.12. 05-30"
and
"Aurosonic & Morphing Shadows feat. Marcie - Ocean Wave (Gleb Stotland Symphonic Orchestra Mix). Unknown. 2010.01.13. 09-03"

but the folder's contents do NOT show up in the lists of artists that are being fetched; in the Android subsonic native-app-client. They also do not show up when selecting the specific folder.

They ARE listed when using the webbrowser-interface (and play well the same) under the "#" category.

They ARE NOT showing up if i SPECIFICALLY SEARCH for it, in the Android subsonic app/client.

Now, here's the killer: if i place the songs in a SUB-directory, the subdirectory shows up as "artist", and when i browse into THAT sub-directory, THEN i can see them tracks listed.

Design flaw ? Or am I missing something ?
