Everytime I upgrade subsonic, I have to recreate rc scripts

On the last three release upgrades, I've noticed that on reboot the subsonic service hasn't started.
I then have to start it manually, do sudo update-rc.d -f subsonic remove
then sudo update-rc.d subsonic defaults
Oddly enough, I notice that when upgrading the package itself the process is actually done by dpkg.... so what's happening here?
