subsonic on vortexbox can't log in

Hi. Well I have a new vortexbox and when I try to start subsonic, which seems to be installed, I can't get past the login screen as I don't have a login or password. The instructions with the unit don't give me one and only refers to coming here if I have a problem, Can anyone help?

if you didnt get root credentials to log in with your uniit, your only option IMO is to reset to default settings. It would be good to know the subsonic version but deleting the content of the "subsonic/db" folder and also the file "subsonic/subsonic.properties" should do the trick.
Though this will clear any settings you made and also delete your license key from subsonic so it will be unregistered again. To prevent that, make a backup of the "subsonic.properties" and put the email and the license and server number fields from it in the same file that will be newly created when subsonic notices the settings are gone after a restart of the server.

Hmm..unfortunately I do not know the right Linux syntax to get into the directory structure to try what you suggest.
