Hello,

As of this morning (5:30am US EDT) I can log into and access my Subsonic page locally, but cannot load the page from any browser outside the home network ("Page cannot be displayed"). The iSub phone app also cannot locate the server. Locally, in Subsonic Settings, the message displays:

Status: [name].subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it (ConnectTimeoutException).

Is there a problem with the Subsonic server, or is there something I need to look at locally? This has been working flawlessly for months, and other than a Mac update to 10.6.6, nothing has changed at the local side.

Thanks.

Just a guess: it sounds like the inbound port mapping has been screwed up somehow... it sounds like the server itself can connect OUT to the internet, but that it is not allowing inbound conenctions.

Have you doublechecked your firewall to make sure nothing changed there?

HTH,

Glenn

Thank you for the quick response! Firewall is on, but exceptions look the same, and is set to allow incoming connections to Subsonic app. Disabled firewall, no difference. Verified none of the router settings have been changed; port forwarding start / end ports still at 4040 per the original instructions.

And I assume that you are actually running Subsonic on port 4040? After an upgrade Subsonic used to reset back to port 80 on Windows... maybe that happened?

Double check the Subsonic settings to make sure it is running on port 4040...

What URL works from inside the LAN?

As far as I can tell it's not using port 80; Subsonic Control Panel Server address is http://localhost:4040, and I can log in from there. "Automatically configure" is checked, and status is "Successfully forwarding port 4040."
