Problems with Android Client-any solutions?
Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2011 3:14 pmI am still having problems with the Android client cutting out after the first 10 or so seconds of the first song being played. This morning I was able to confirm that this is not being caused by the player overrunning the download rate - I had plenty of bandwidth and had most of the first song loaded before it cut out.
If I wait for the first one or two songs to load, and then press play, the problem goes away, and I can play the entire remainder of the album without any problems. I have the max bitrate throttled down to 96 on my Android player in an attempt to fix the problem, although I don't think it really has had any effect (and I don't think the problem is truly related to the bitrate).
Any suggestions/known solutions? I keep hoping an update to the client will fix the problem, but so far that hasn't happened...
Other than this one small thing Subsonic has worked great for me - beyond my expectations. Hopefully the problem with the Android client will get fixed sooner rather than later.
FWIW I am running the client on a Droid 2, Android 2.2, operating on 3G.
