Streaming Video to iPhone 4 and HTC Desire, and more...

Okay, I have been at this for a good 6 hours now trying to figure this out and I feel like such an idiot. I have both phones and am looking to transcode from avi to mp4 since neither phone effectively plays flv files. I haven't figured out what coding I need to add or where I need to add it to get this working.

Second issue, which I also feel rather stupid admitting, is that I can't even get my iphone to bring up my server list. I'm not even sure it's connecting to the server. I entered the login information correctly, but each time I ask it to go to the music selection I get "ERROR: Required Parameter is missing.". So the question is, what am I missing?

Hi J_Marley,

I presume you have the iphone app iSub installed on your phone since you quoted that error code above?. Are you able to stream music?

Did you set your server to "Make Default Server"? -->Tab on settings at top left hand corner, select your server then tab Make Default Server.

I have SS 4.3 + iSub 2.2.3 and i can tell you there is no support for any video streaming in iSub's current version. I have this confirmed by the developer in an email few days ago and you can read about it on his site www.isubapp.com/forum

I also suggest the link above for any iSub related issues as you are likely to get a quick response from the apps developer Ben and other iSub users there.

Regarding the transcoding, i have not done any changes to the default and all my music/audio books and podcasts stream fine on my iphone using iSub, the only problem as said earlier is video and that is not supported in its current ver, but Ben(the developer of iSub) is looking into ways of getting that done in future releases.

If you wish, you can PM me and give me a test account and the details of your server and i will test.
