Not all albums displaying & Album art question
I have run across 2 issues in 4.3 running on Ubuntu 10.10 server. I've done some digging on this forum, but didn't find anything.
1.) When I click on an artist in the left column and all albums are displayed in the right pain, they all show up. However, if I go into an album and then click on the Artist name in right pane to go "back up a level" to show all albums, when it reloads the albums by the artist they are all are not displayed. Clicking on the artist again in the left pain re-loads it and all albums are displayed. Is there a fix for this?
2.) I know that Subsonic uses the Music folder stucture and not tags for navigation, but does read the ID3 tags for other information. I have a lot of albums that don't display album art. Not all of my albums have the album cover in the root folder, but all of them have Album art in the tags. Based on this, I assume Subsonic get it's album art from the album's root folder and not the ID3 tag. Is there a way to have Subsonic get the album art from the tags? If not does anybody know of a good tool to dump album art from ID3 tags to say (ie. cover.jpg) in each of my album folders.
I am really enjoying Subsonic so far, but am only disappointed in it's lack of of ID3 tag use. It seems this is by design. The user should be give the option to organize music by folder structure OR by Tag info.......and reading album art from the ID3 tags should definitely be implemented.
