newb help... please..

I am having trouble with connecting my android phone. I have everything working fine on the PC. and the android phone connects and is fully functional while still on Wi-Fi but as soon as I take it off Wi-Fi and go onto 3G I cannot connect to the server anymore. I'm sure that its something simple that I missed during setup but would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks in advance...

What platform (os) are you on?

I appreciate any help offered. I think I have actually figured it out. I tore the entire internet connection and rebuilt it redoing the static ip settings and port forwarding. seems to have fixed the problem. Must have made a mistake in there setting it up somehow I just couldnt figure out what.
