Full screen problem with Android (HTC Desire)

First of all, my apologies if this question has been asked before, but I could find no mention of it.

The problem I'm having, is with video playback. It plays fine in the phone's browser, but when I start playback in full screen, the video playback stops while the audio continues fine.

Is this a known issue, and is there way to fix it?

Everything else works flawlessly, and I got to admit that I've somewhat fallen in love with subsonic the short time I've used it!

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

I have not reported it, but I have exactly the same problem on a Droid Incredible.

I just fiddle with the pinch zoom until it's just about full screen...

I just thought of something yesterday, as I was browsing through the Android Market. I saw Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which I knew beforehand from both Windows and Linux introduced GPU accelerated playback of flash content. It was not installed on my device, so I decided to install it.

After this was installed, playback of movies through Subsonic on the Android App worked like a charm.

Give it a go Glenn, and see if this helps for you too.

Cheers!

Well, this is finally fixed for me. The latest OTA update to Android 2.3 fixed the Flash Full Screen problem.

Now if only Flash Full Screen could tell if my phone was in "upside down landscape" orientation and orient correctly, it would be perfect!

But beggars can't be choosers I guess.
