Openfiler Transcoding / Build Codecs from Source?
So I first had a working FreeNAS box with subsonic, but wanted to try out OpenFiler as I had heard there were some good performance improvements.
I do notice some better throughput and memory management, my only problem now is that rPath repositories don't seem to have lame, flac, ffmpeg, or faad. Please tell me I'm wrong about this, I've never used Conary before and am kind of diving into the deep end head frist when it comes to linux (I'm a fast leaner, but I'm still very novice
)
Should I be compiling the codecs from source, if so, where do I find which dependencies I need for subsonic to work?
I am one for buying beers for people, so don't be afraid of giving any ideas!
