Hi,

I use Subsonic (registered) on an Ubuntu Server 10.10 with Tomcat 6 + SSL

When I try to register a redirection (xxxxx.subsonic.org) I have this message :
Status: xxxxxx.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ClientProtocolException)

I don't understand ...
And you ?

check canyouseeme.org for your chosen SS port that's forwarded...is it working?

Yes
Success: I can see your service on xx.xx.xx.xx on port (xxxx)
Your ISP is not blocking port xxxx

I use SSL, is it the problem ?

EDIT and when I use my reverse DNS Subsonic works

SS should update it's address (overnight, IIRC), so it may just be a delay..how long has it been doing this? WRT SSL, I don't use it, so don't know what ramifications (logins?) that poses.

I discovered your port is not passing a security check on Chrome, so it may be that it's also failing on Sindre's server. Bypassing this error page get me to your login, so at least that's working. :)

SOLVED !

Must register the xxxxx.subsonic.org without SSL (HTTP).
And only after enable "force SSL" in Tomcat.

And it's works :)

But i think i can't use this address (xxx.subsonic.org) in Android app, i mist type the "long" url (with SSL port), i'll test that.

A more efficient SSL support in Subsonic will be great...
