Wrong Username Used to Identify User

I've been using Subsonic now for a few weeks and really love it and it has been working like a champ. Just recently, I've had a friend log in with his credentials and it shows up as being under my admin account. It showed his normal username prior to yesterday, but now it keeps showing up as "admin" (which is what I still use for the main admin account). I did let him log in under the admin user name in the very begining of setting everything up, but I have since changed the password to something he doesn't know a week ago. I did a server reset for Apache/Subsonic and it continues to label him as user in both the "Now Playing" panel and the logs????

Is your friends account still an administrator account?

I'm having a similar issue (i think) -- no matter what I log in as, I'm shown as "guest" in the right sidebar. It's not a huge deal, altho it does seem to be preventing proper last.fm scrobbling.

I've noticed that one of my sites always shows me as "admin" even when I log in with my user name. I'll include this in my bug notes the next time I contact Sindre.

No, his account is not an admin. Thanks for adding it to the bug notes!

I have had this myself. When i create a new user account i test it by logging in as that user before i give out the account details. Deleting my cookies has helped resolve the issue for me whenever that happened.

I have the same problem. One of my users who never had admin access shows up as admin quite often in the logs and the now playing tab. This happened in 4.3, but its much more often in 4.4 now. Also its not just one user, sometimes others are affected too and show up as another user.
This one user that often shows up as admin has never shared a browser or pc with the admin account. Other users do however, maybe this mess of cookies and sessions tilts SS's session management...
EDIT: if something is amiss in the "now playing" tab like showing wrong user/different user than the log, I just issue a "cookie/cache extermination signal" to my users via chat. And most of the times this works. But its a solution unbefitting to SS really

Bump!
This problem occurs even more when using LDAP with subsonic, but also without. And indeed, with 4.4 it seems that it occurs more and more .....
I also noticed that, when I make an Active Directory user, that logs into subsonic gives problems. I deleted the account because it became obsolete, but the next account I made got the same name as the user I deleted!
If this could be fixed, together with better out-of-the-box video optimalization and some extra music folder options, I would gladly donate another 20 EUR!
But of course I have already donated for the work done so far!
