Subsonic Forum

hello,

I have a shared server account, i have TOMCAT enabled and JAVA installed.
is there a way to install it? i don't have access to the root of course.

Have you tried deploying the war file? Is there a firewall and do you have access to forward the ports?

when i enter the link:
domain.com/subsonic/
it redirects me to: domain.com/subsonic/index.view
but then i get the error 404:

Code: Select all

Not Found

The requested URL /subsonic/index.view was not found on this server

It's deployed in that folder subsonic.
its on the default port 8080
and when i enter domain.com:8080/subsonic
i am redirected to domain.com:8080/subsonic/index.view

with the error:

Code: Select all

HTTP Status 404 -  The requested resource () is not available. Apache Tomcat/5.5.30

Are there any useful error in these logs?

Subsonic logs: c:\subsonic\subsonic.log or /var/subsonic/subsonic.log.
Tomcat logs: TOMCAT_HOME/logs.

but i can not access /var/subsonic as its a shared server

Can you move the log files to somewhere you do have access to?
