Problems with Jukebox mode Edit:due to cover art in mp3 tags

Thanks for the lovely Subsonic. It works extremely well, save for Jukebox mode. Some songs play, some do not and while the player is playing, there is no sound. I have seen a few other people on the forums with this problem, but so far I'm not sure whether this is a bug in the software or it has to do with the user setup.
Edit: I'm running Vista by the way and get the following problem according to the log:
[2/17/11 8:16:53 PM CET] INFO PlaylistInputStream admin listening to "Draconian Times\01 Enchantment.mp3"
[2/17/11 8:16:53 PM CET] DEBUG JukeboxService stateUpdated : OPENING:-1:java.io.BufferedInputStream@124b4a9
[2/17/11 8:16:53 PM CET] WARN JukeboxService Error in BasicPlayer.play()
It works when I play on the same server directly, not using jukebox mode from another computer.

I installed a server on another computer that runs Win7 instead. I copied some mp3s that I knew caused problems and others that didn't cause problems. I got an identical result when I tried jukebox mode from another computer or using iSub on my iPhone, i.e. the problematic mp3s didn't play on the server (even though they play perfectly well in non-jukebox mode, so it doesn't seem to have anything to do with soundcard, audio drivers etc.)
Seems that, as someone already suggested on the forum previously, it has to do with some image covers (too large?) causing the player to bug out in jukebox mode.
It would be nice to see this fixed. I can provide the mp3s that are causing the problem.

To clarify, cover art inside the mp3 tag that is, is what sometimes causes the player in Subsonic to bug in jukebox mode. I also want to add that I'm running the latest version of Subsonic (4.4).
Furthermore, I took the problematic files and stripped them of the cover art in their tags and now they work in jukebox mode. It would be nice to see a fix for this in a future update, since I'd rather keep the cover art I have for most of my 100GB music library.

So glad you managed to figure it out. That makes sense, I'm experiencing the same thing. Only 'some' mp3s are failing.
Can you share the script/process you used to strip the artwork from the mp3s?

Same Problem here.
Can we expect a fix for the problem that jukebox is failing on playing songs with large embedded cover art images?
Thank you
Chris

I used mp3tag to highlight all files and then right clicked on the cover art and selected remove, then save. Took all night to remove all the ar but its gone and all songs that wouldn't play are now playing.

Not an option to me. Embedded cover art is essential to my music collection and took uncounted nights to properly inject.

I second this...we need to get this fixed. I just had to delete all of my artwork because certain songs/albums wouldn't play.

This problem has been bothering me as well, but thankfully it has been fixed in the recent Subsonic 4.6 beta.
