Album Art Thumbnail Errors

Postby pra98cam » Wed Apr 11, 2007 10:09 am

Hi,

Not sure if anyone else is getting this issue but since I installed the newest version I've noticed that several of my album thumbnails are coloured all in red... When the cover art is zoomed it shows the image correctly. I embed all of my album covers in the tags and have tried removing all of Subsonic's cached thumbnails and allowing it to create new ones but the same thing happens. It didn't happen on previous versions.

Not sure if there is anything I can do about this myself or if it's something in Subsonic itself; the error only occurs in Subsonic - the images display fine everywhere else...

Thanks,

Carl.

Hi Carl,

In which version did it work? Cover art embedded in ID3 tags was supported first in 3.0.beta1.

I haven't seen this problem myself. If possible, can you please email an example mp3 file to sindre@activeobjects.no

Thanks!

I started using the embedded art when you first made it available in the version 3.0 betas and had no problems.

I'll send an mp3 to you asap.

Thanks,

Carl.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for providing the sample file. I've reproduced the error and tracked it down to some code within the Java library, so I'm not sure how much I can do about it.

I find it hard to believe that it worked in 3.0.beta, are you sure about that?

Hi Sindre,

I don't remember seeing the issue before I upgraded to the final version of 3.0 but it's possible that it was still there. It's not a big problem anyway but thanks for looking into it :)
