Trouble with Transcoding

Postby toekneebullard » Fri Feb 25, 2011 7:43 pm

I'm having issues with my video setup.

OSX 10.6.6

I went through the Transcoding troubleshooting list, and everything checks out OK. When I try and play a video I get a "Video not found or access denied:" error, with a whole lot of long variables after it. Can't copy and paste it out of the player window.

Here's my log:

Exact same problem

Postby saskwatch » Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:04 pm

I am on OSX 10.6.6. What I have to determined is that for .wmv files, the encoding works great, but for .m4v files, I get the same errors as you do.

Help?

Well at least I think I know where the problem lies, since I do get the intermdiate wav but not the mp3. So I am focusing on the lame step. Do you too get the intermediate wav?

If you are getting a wave file written to disk then you must not be outputting to StdOut like the second half of the transcode needs you to.

Try adding a dash to the end of your stage one command.

BTW, the log you posted is of the transcoding of a MOV file, not a WMV file...

I apologize. I've inadvertantly posted in the wrong topic  My original topic was about problems transcoding from FLAC and is here:

Do you intend to fix the log to continue to get help for this problem or is this topic dead?
Its still about a .MOV file as of now.
