After i change over to ssl https, port 443, my Android Phone don't get connection to my server anymore..
I tried to change url from http://xxx.subsonic.org, to https://xxx.subsonic.org and also https://xxx.subsonic.org:443, without any result.
I've change the ports in my subsonic.conf file to 443 and closed http 4040
Any more config's i have to do.

Open port 443 on the router and do a port forward to the server.

I have done that, i can connect to the subsonic from outside with my domain,
https://example.com, but not the https://xxx.subsonic org. Seems like the subsonic domain is not handling ssl. Same happens from outside my network.

Try doing a refresh of the settings. Go to Settings/Network, make sure the Access server over internet box is checked and hit Save. It should give you a message that SS responded successfully.

You might also check the Security Gateway you list to see if there might be a firewall that needs to open 443.

Thnks.
I have done all that, it says.. Status: Successfully registered web address.
My Astaro Security Gateway is not blocking the port 443
It seem like the the domain registered here, xxx.subsonic.org, only work's with http. Anybody else who experience the same ??

My only other thought would be that 443 might be blocked by your ISP. Some ISP's block 80 and 443, or reserve them for access to the gateway device they provide. You might give 444 or 445 a try.

Ok, thank's folk.

So correct me if I'm wrong, one have to open and also use a http port ..4040 including the https port 443 to get ssl "xxx.subsonic.org" domain to work properly.. Am I right ?

As i understand it, which is a bit foggy at best, you set up both http and https access for the Subsonic instance. Then if you enable SSL in the control panel, you still use the http address to reach SS, but it then hands off the request to the SSL connection. I don't use the SSL myself, but that's what I remember from when I tested it a while back. I always recommend not using port 80 or port 443 in Subsonic as there is just too much potential for conflicts. I've used 8081 and 441, 8080 and 442, 8084 and 444 successfully.

So, assuming you already have http://servername.subsonic.org up and running on port 4040. Everything is working fine and your ready to set up SSL. Just chose the SSL port you're going to use, let's say 440, then set up the port forwar in the router, just like you would for 4040 ( I always recommend doing it manually) then open the SS control panel and check the "Enable https port" box and enter the correct port number that you opened on the router, in this example, 440. Save the settings. I always stop the service before editing the settings, then restart after the changes have been saved.

In theory, when you go to http://servername.subsonic.org, Subsonic will automatically initialize the https connection.
