sub sonic router problems?

Postby DrClaw » Fri Mar 04, 2011 8:01 pm

So, Ive having some trouble getting subsonic set up on my wrt54g router. I went throug hthe steps, and gave my server pc a static ip 192.168.1.200. the dhcp only goes from .100 to .149, so its not going to get used by a autmatic ip, right?

So, I go into the command line and ipconfig says that my ip address is .200.
However, in the clients list in the router, its showing up as the old ip, .103. I think this conflict is keeping me from accessing subsonic.

I can use subsonic from my phone while on the same wifi, and the port (not 80 or 25) was working with canyouseeme. Maybe Im missing something really ridiculous, but I dont know what it is.

A appreciate your help

I think you will find that you need to set your static ip for your server on your router, it seems that your router dose not know the ip of your server.

Did you make sure that there is an inbound mapping for the port you are running subsonic on on your router, pointing in to the .200 address instead of the .103 address?

If not, create one.

upnp is unreliable and takes too long to update. If you have a static IP (which you say you do) then create a static inbound port mapping for the proper port and be done with it.
