I'm running IE 9RC. Works fine for me, even though I like Chrome better for SS. You might also have to click on the compatibilty button. Make sure your Java and flash are up to date. Do you have 64 bit Java installed?

With IE 9 RC I am still having album artwork flash when not ran in compatibility mode.

My Client System Details:

Windows 7 Enterprise SP 1
IE 9 (Version 9.0.8112.16421)

My Server Details:

Subsonic Version - 4.4 (build 2172) – February 6, 2011
Other Info - jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_20, Windows 7

If you need any further info let me know but just thought I'd let you know this has not been resolved.

As mentioned, I really prefer the look and feel of Chrome when using Subsonic. It just looks cleaner and runs better. That said, I'm on Win 7 Ultimate and I have 3 servers, one is on WHS v1, one on WHS 2011 RC in a virtual machine, and the last is on Server 08 R2. I updated to IE 9 RC when it came out and I am now running IE 9 RTM as my normal desktop browser, primarily due to overall compatibility, security, and automated logon issues that are already in place on my network. On all the various desktops around the house, they all run IE 9 RTM and can access all my Subsonic servers without problems as long as the compatibility mode has been clicked on for each site. On my own system, I also access several other sites that I have guest access to with the same results.

If you are not seeing the same result with IE 9 on your system, you most likely have another issue that needs to be fixed. I would suggest uninstalling/reinstalling to the latest versions of Java and flash on your desktop to see if that helps.

Start with a fresh Java install to the latest version. If you have Java already, uninstall, then do a clean install of the latest version. If you use a 64 bit browser be sure to get both 32 & 64 bit Java.
