having problems with reverse proxy on apache--thisMIGHT help

I was going nuts over this too unsure of which site I found this info on but it worked for me on Apache 2.2.17 and centOS 5.5 64 bit.
I iniotially added the first two lines with the Apache proxy not responding so then I inserted the next lines and it sratted to work

ProxyPass /subsonic http://localhost:4040/subsonic
ProxyPassReverse /subsonic http://localhost:4040/subsonic
<Location /subsonic>
        Options MultiViews Indexes SymLinksIfOwnerMatch IncludesNoExec
        Order deny,allow
        Allow from all
</Location>

i have also set subsonic in the context menu  [b]/usr/share/subsonic/subsonic.sh[/b]
but works like a charm. I hope it saves someone hours of headache
