Help - Can't see music on Android...

Hello.

I'm running Windows 7 with Subsonic and I'm trying to stream music to my android phone. I have the Sonic server configured (and tested connectivity "Connection is OK. Server unlicensed" from my android - well within the trial limit). User is configured to play files and all that good stuff. And I can see all my music when I log into the server via Firefox (all the music is listed on the left). But for some reason I can't see any music on my phone. I keep thinking I missed something and continue to look through all the menus and settings but for the life of me I can't figure out what is wrong. Note: All my music is in a single folder (not sure if this is an issue). I skimmed through the tutorial but didn't see anything pertaining to my problem. I have about 2100 songs in the folder. I don't believe router settings are an issue because I've tested connectivity (successfully) from the phone. I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, And I've already tried the Update search index a couple times.

Update: I still can't see anything in my music library (on the phone), but when I search for part of a song I do see it come up. Sometimes it plays and sometimes it doesn't when I click on it (I think that's a different issue all together). But its strange that I can search for a song but I don't see it in the main library section. Shouldn't I be able to see all my songs I have in the folder in that library? When I click on Shuffle Play from the home screen it doesn't shuffle all my songs. Instead it seems like it only shuffles the ones that I searched for already.

Thanks.

All the music in one folder is the problem. Subsonic organizes the music best when it's organized into X:\Music\Artist\Album\tracks folders. Create a new folder and place an Album in it to see if it fixes the problem. You can still maintain your current format, just create a new folder within the current folder and move the music down one level. I have many single tracks stored this way, i.e. X:\music\singles\tracks.

Well, that is exactly the problem.....

The android client only shows files in a subdirectory under the music root...
Just move all (or a couple) files into a subdirectory directly under your music root directory and they will pop up in android...

yea that fixed it. i guess i didn't think it would be an issue to have everything in the root directory (especially since it all came up in the web console) but its no big deal.

thanks all!
