I can't figure out how to
1) correctly build a playlist
2) where to save it so the server (Windows version) picks it up and
3) it is accessible to my Droid phone while on the go

Please help!

Thanks,

Grant

to Make a playlist, add all the songs you want to the player as if you are gonna listen to them. then from the dropdown box "More Actions" select save playlist. It will save to your specified playlist folder (Settings->General)

Your Android App should automatically notice playlists saved in that folder!

Thanks, I finally figured out where it expects the playlists to be:
c:\playlists

(I thought I had read that they needed to be in c:\subsonic\playlists but that was wrong)

So I used Windows Media Player to save a playlist comprised of all my music on the PC, then renamed the .wpl file to .m3u and saved it as All Music.m3u in c:\playlists.

Now, the server web app picks up this list and can play music files in the new playlist, but my Droid was still unable to play it. The Droid app sees the new play list but says there were no music files in it when I try to use it to play files.
Ironically, I figured out that I can use the shuffle feature to get what I want...

When I go to "More" (Doesn't say "More Actions") it only gives me the option to create a Random Playlist with 5-50 songs. Doesn't say "Save Playlist".

"More Actions" is to the right of the player bar in the lower window.

Haha! My Firefox NoSquint settings weren't adequate.

Thanks, I found it now!

BTW: Is there any way to view the web client without all those frames? I find that the frames are hampering my view of it.

No. Id' like to see a bit more flexibility in being able to adjust the frames in the window, but for now the best solution is a 24" monitor. I also like the look and feel of SS using Chrome. It has a clean look and I have the shortcuts bar set up to auto logon to the various SS sites where I'm a member.
