Radio Station

I'd like to create my own internet radio station and add it to the "Internet TV/radio" section in Subsonic. Adding it to Subsonic seems simple enough but what I'm looking for is a good place to create a free station.
Anyone have any suggestions?

To clarify, I'd like to setup 3-5 stations to play different genres of music. My goal is to create a substitute for Genius-type playlists that can be used on Subsonic. I don't foresee the music playing through Subsonic itself but through a station on Subsonic. If the listener likes what they hear, they can find more music by the artist on the Subsonic server.

Anyone have any other suggestions or reasons as to why ShoutCast is the best option?

its the most used. icecast is another option, which I would plumb for
