Subsonic Forum

Hi all,

I setup subsonic 2 days ago, first on my windows pc to test it. In doing so I registered my killercow.subsonic.org but have since uninstalled and have setup subsonic on my linux box (which holds all my music/vids etc.).

When i go into settings to register my subsonic.org address again, it says:

Status: killercow.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

I have temporarily setup another dyndns address that points to my router correctly and lets me login, but I would prefer to use the subsonic.org address. I donated etc. so surely there should be a way I could re-register my subsonic.org address??

IIRC, simply adding the license code from your email to the new install should fix, then select 'Save' under Settings-Network-Access Your Server..

edit: Also, did you open your router port to associate with the new server lan IP?

Thanks for the quick response, I believe I have already activated my license (I dont have a donate button anymore...?)

My router is setup correctly I believe.... I can access no problem from xxx [edit: removed for privacy ] (which is the dyndns address I setup temporarily)...

Sorry and yeh I tried the "Access your server over the Internet using an easy-to-remember address." a couple of times with the same error message..
